Drawing Practice | Isabella Allis

Drawing Practice | Isabella Allis

About this workshop

Take your drawing skills to the next level, through regular, mentored studio practice in this 5-week course.

Experiment with ways to make your drawings really pop! Understand how light interacts with objects to create the feeling of 3-dimensional form.

Master pushing and pulling values to create greater drama and contrast. Look at the treatment of edges (sharp, lost-and-found or soft) and how this will bring greater realism to your work.

Develop your own drawing style.

What will I learn?

You will have the opportunity to bring in your own drawing projects and request tuition on particular aspects.

The aim will be to reinforce your drawing skills by revisiting fundamental drawing techniques and applying them in a fully rendered and refined piece of art. We will also go over drawing materials, papers and presentation.

We will also look at ways you can integrate regular drawing time into your schedule to help maintain and improve your drawing technique. **Most importantly these classes will give you the opportunity to receive mentoring and feedback on your own drawings. **

Who is this course suitable for?

This course will suit those who have completed the Drawing Fundamentals course, or who have some experience in drawing but would like to further develop their skills and have regular tutored studio time.

As you work on your own projects, please bring in your own relevant materials.
