Bold Abstract Florals | Llewellyn Skye
Exclusive to Bienarté, this workshop is for those who want to loosen up their painting style, embrace bold marks and learn to trust their intuition and decision making.
What will I learn?
Beginning with drawing exercises, Skye will teach you how to switch on the creative side of your brain. Working from still life floral set-ups and imagery, you will be guided through traditional techniques with a fast, loose, abstract approach.
You will be creating smaller drawings and a medium to large piece.
This will be a fun, energetic workshop with an emphasis on trusting your intuition, embracing loose gestural marks and not over-working your pieces.
Who is this workshop suitable for?
This workshop is suitable for people with some experience of their chosen medium. It will cater to early learners through to advanced.
While Skye usually works in oil colours, you are welcome to work in acrylic. For those who would prefer to work in oil, please use a fast-drying medium and acrylics to paint the backgrounds.

Course testimonials:
- Thank for providing a fantastic environment with a legendary artist/tutor/inspiration Llewellyn Skye is not only an incredibly gifted artist, she is a naturally born educator. She explains so clearly, supports, pushes (so beautifully) her students to take risks be brave but impresses the importance of stepping away from your work, taking it outside to truly get perspective. I will be back, would love 4/5 day course with Skye. Yasmin you were amazing, I simply can’t express my gratitude to you in words. Love, love, love you guys xxx ......Sheena from New Zealand
- I loved this workshop and learning from Skye was so valuable. I move forward in my painting realizing the importance of confidence and freedom to do what I want on the canvas. Well worth the trip up from Melbourne! ....Lynelle M from Melbourne
- I found out that Skye was having a workshop at Bienarte. The venue is fantastic and well organised. I would love to be able to come back again soon. Thank you. Tina from Carseldine
