Colour For Watercolour Painters | Jan Lawnikanis

About the workshop

After two decades of designing colour charts and teaching colour theory, Jan has developed what she considers to be the easiest system of learning about colour for artists. Using the true primaries –Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, students will only need 3 tubes of paint to produce an enormous range of hues. Learn why red is not a primary colour at all and why previous colour systems were so tricky to use. Easy colour mixing and matching will be a revelation to students!
Saturday will be devoted to creating a 12 colour palette from the 3 primaries and producing practical visual tools. On Sunday, students will paint their favourite subjects with some inspiring colour systems from their newfound knowledge. Previous students have raved about these workshops with Jan, so don’t miss your chance to finally ‘get it’ with mixing colours! This workshop is suitable for those with some previous experience in watercolour.
