Beginners' Introduction to Watercolour For 4 Weeks | Penelope Gilbert-Ng

What will I learn?

This course will familiarise students with watercolour application of colour mixing, composition, edges and tones.

The students will learn the application and techniques of watercolour through a number of exercises encompassing the degree of dry to wet paper and learning what wetness of paper for what application of pigment.

We shall work with the Landscape motif and finish with a Still Life.

This is suitable for beginners.

What do I need to bring?

  • Bring your lunch and snacks or you can purchase from cafes close by. We do have a fridge at the studio for your convenience.

About Penelope Gilbert-Ng

Penelope Gilbert-Ng has been creating art for more than 40 years and is a sought-after judge for art competitions. An Archibald finalist for her pastel portraits, Penelope is inspired by the impressionist era, with her work exhibiting both finesse and a sensitive eye through which she coveys the inner essence of her subjects – capturing them in a realistic, yet not photographic way.

Penelope’s great passion for painting and never-ending fascination for people is not only evident in her work, but also in her years of teaching.
