Red, Blue and Yellow | Learn and Experience Ceramics

This workshop is held at our partner Ceramic Studios in Jindalee

About this workshop

A 3-hour workshop will run every second Saturday from 11AM - 2PM at our Ceramic Workshop and Studio in Jindalee, Red, Blue & Yellow, while you sip a glass of wine and enjoy a cheese platter.

Design and create ceramics with hand-building techniques.

Would you like to discover the world of ceramics and learn hand-building techniques?

Would you like to explore the intricacies of clay materiality while sipping a glass of wine and enjoying a cheese platter in a relaxing and cosy atmosphere?

This class is just for you!

What will I learn?

You will be collaborating alongside a small group of students to practice clay-building techniques at your own pace and under one-on-one supervision after a demonstration of each technique is introduced to you.

This beginners' class is designed for you to discover different bodies of clay and learn the 3 main techniques used in hand-built ceramics:

  • Pinch pot
  • Coiling
  • Soft slab

You will experience a variety of textures and approaches to hand-building with ceramics. You will be encouraged to create your own ceramic bowls, cups, plates and flower vases under Paula’s personal guidance.

By the end of the class, you will have learned the main basic techniques of hand-building with clay and spent a great time relaxing, learning, having fun and connecting with other students.

Your unique handmade pieces will be left to dry in the studio space and fired in our kiln with an additional layer of glaze (colour) of your choosing, to be collected 7-10 days after the class.
