Mixed Media on Canvas | Tricia Reust

Mixed Media on Canvas | Tricia Reust

Over the course of the weekend, we will explore completing one smaller work with a minimal approach, and the other larger work incorporating all the techniques to be covered, including glazing, printing, stencilling and stamping.

What will I learn?

We will be working on two gessoed canvases, one smaller, about 10"x12" or 11"x14" (25x30cm or 28x36cm) and one at least 24"x30" (61x76cm).

The process will be to briefly cover basic design principles, collage and texture the canvas surfaces on the first day and complete the works with paint and/or dry drawing media.
Drawings can be incorporated with the collage and/or drawn directly on to the canvas.

Who is this workshop suitable for?

This is a beginners' workshop, suitable for all levels.  Artists with some mixed media experience and who wish to move to a higher level will also benefit.
